A Heartfelt Congratulations is in Order

This week, I heard some most fabulous news: Craig and Jas are getting married! HURRAH! I am so unbelievably happy for them, and really appreciated the fact that Craig took the extra five minutes to share the happy news with me personally. That was really special. There’s only been eight weeks of my life when he wasn’t in it, the height difference has evened out (I think now he even wins by a few centimetres), and he’s someone I miss heaps living so far away.  It was just a wonderful piece of news, and certainly more inspiring than murders, arraignments and burning bodies that I spent the rest of the day dealing with. I have not yet heard all the impressive details of the question-popping, but I can tell you it involved my favourite country on earth, New Zealand, and jumping from great heights. Oh Happy Day!

The uber talented Jordan of one of my FAVOURITE blogs, Oh Happy Day, is doing something unheard of to celebrate her celebration of her five year blogging anniversary. She’s generously donating a trip to Paris to be won by one of her lucky readers. WHOA! A trip to PARIS? Count me in! [Source: Oh Happy Day] You win a stay at a boutique hotel called Mama Shelter, and be personally shown around Paris by Jordan herself. Anyhoo, she also recently relaunched her site, and I am loving the simplicity of the design. So get on over there and win yourself a dream holiday! What have you got to lose? Enter here, and may I wish you all the best of luck.

Making a Commitment to My Life List

One of my dreams is to live in Germany. I adored taking German at school, and loved taking it at university. But it’s been a decade since any formal linguistic training, and I’m itching to get back to it. [Source: me] So I’ve made a commitment to improving my German because I enjoy learning, but also because I want to start making some of these Life List dreams happen! I have started learning through the Rosetta Stone program for German, and so far, we’re just covering stuff I already know. I’m interested in seeing if this Rosetta Stone is really as good as they say… Who knows if I’ll ever achieve #20 and #21 on my Life List, but what’s the harm in trying?
