Sometimes, life is not particularly interesting. And right now, life here is not terribly notable. And that’s okay. But I’m doing what I need to get by and to chase my dreams. That has to count for something, right?
Two days ago, we had the first snow of the season here in Chicago. Just as the forecast predicted, the temperature fell below zero, the wind picked up, and the rain started. And then I missed it.
That thing where … you start to feel as though you’re finally part of the fabric of the city. THAT.
In a Chicago summer, there’s a real sense of abandoning the rigid rules of daily life. Such rules no longer apply. It’s heady, fragrant, intoxicating.
