It all made sense to me as a I walked home from Netball Olivia’s impromptu Christmas get-together. I understood what these cold, snowy Northern Hemisphere holidays mean to me.
Well, I have officially caught Ashes Fever. It hasn’t happened in a good long time, truth be told, but I’m loving it.
It’s instinctive. It’s in my blood.
Sometimes, life is not particularly interesting. And right now, life here is not terribly notable. And that’s okay. But I’m doing what I need to get by and to chase my dreams. That has to count for something, right?
So, now you’ve settled in, sorted out your living arrangements and located your local supermarket. Now, it’s time to start carving out a new life for yourself. And for me, building a solid foundation of friends is one of the most important parts of settling in.
Yesterday, Chicago was looking the prettiest I’ve seen.
