The registrar asked if I had seen my x-rays, and I shook my head in the negative. Her face dropped and she said, “Ooooh!” rather ominously, then asked us to follow her into a consulting room. I looked at my sister with wide eyes, and whispered to her, “That’s not good. Not good.”

A New Chapter: Heading Home to Reconnect with Myself

Somewhere in the nexus of the Unites States, Australia and Thailand, my sense of self went AWOL. I have forgotten what it feels like to just be me. So I’m on a mission to return home to Sydney, and reconnect with my loved ones. But I’m also there to work on reconnecting with myself.
