Lots and lots and lots of rain this week has made it challenging to go on any significant adventures. But, being that California is in the middle of a drought, the rain is very much welcomed.
Two days ago, we had the first snow of the season here in Chicago. Just as the forecast predicted, the temperature fell below zero, the wind picked up, and the rain started. And then I missed it.
You know the feeling when you suddenly feel inspiration all around you? Everywhere I turn, it’s beautiful, engaging, inspiring. The taste of bing cherries, the smell of salt on the bay air, the glorious sunsets, the graffiti etched into library desks. It’s as though I have been asleep for weeks.
